Hi, I'm Ian, aka Maptacular.
If you’ve ever been lost, and I mean ‘panic-sweating, I’m really in a pickle’ kind of lost, you probably appreciate a good map. For me, that experience came while spending a few days camping in the jungle in Malaysia. What should have been a short hike to a nearby waterfall, became an hours long off-trail trek, running out of fresh water and daylight. It was only thanks to a pocket compass and a hand sketched map that I was able to find my way back to the campsite - and I've been a (really) big fan of maps ever since!
Over the last 15 years I've led marketing teams at Parks & Rec agencies around the US to develop brand style, map systems, print brochures and digital map apps for parks, trails, special events, building plans and more.
